Kent Scouts – Squirrel Goes Nuts 2026
29th June 2026
Our 7th Ashford (St Mary’s) Squirrel Drey had a brilliant day at Kent Scouts Squirrel Goes Nuts 2026, joining hundreds of Squirrels from across the county for a fun-filled day of adventure.
Throughout the day, our Squirrels had the chance to have a go at a fantastic range of activities, including fencing, soft archery, axe throwing, exploring the caving bus, story time, face painting and much more. It was wonderful to see them trying new things, building confidence and encouraging one another every step of the way.
One of the best parts of the day was seeing our Squirrels come together with other Dreys from across Kent. It gave them the opportunity to make new friends, experience the wider Scouting family and realise they’re part of something much bigger. A huge thank you to Kent Scouts and all of the volunteers who organised such an amazing event, and to all of the volunteers who helped make the day possible for the Drey to attend the event.
Days like these remind us what Scouting is all about, giving young people opportunities to challenge themselves, have fun, make memories and develop Skills for Life. It was a fantastic day, and one that our Squirrels will be talking about for a long time to come.
