Squirrel Chief Scout Acorn Award!
31st March 2026
A Proud Moment for 7th Ashford (St Mary's) Squirrels
We are incredibly proud to celebrate a fantastic achievement by one of our very own Squirrels, Alan, who has been awarded the prestigious Chief Scout Acorn Award.
Alan is the first Squirrel in the Ashford District to earn this award, making this a truly historic moment for our group and a wonderful milestone for Squirrelling in the area. To achieve the Chief Scout Acorn Award, Alan has worked incredibly hard to complete all of his Squirrel Challenge Awards. Throughout his journey, he earned the All About Me, All About Adventure, All Around Us, and All Together awards.
Each of these challenges encouraged Alan to try new things, build confidence, and develop important skills. From learning more about himself and the people around him, to taking part in outdoor adventures, working as part of a team, and exploring the world in new ways, Alan has shown great enthusiasm and determination every step of the way. Completing these awards required real commitment and perseverance, and Alan approached every activity with a positive attitude and a willingness to get involved, making his achievement even more special.
We would also like to say a big thank you to Lee (Deputy District Lead Volunteer) for taking the time to come down and present the award. It made the occasion even more special and memorable for everyone involved.
All of us at 7th Ashford (St Mary's) couldn't be prouder of Alan and everything he has achieved. We look forward to seeing what he does next on his Scouting journey!
